The confessional before you is ornate and well maintained, ebony colored wood embellished with the visage of two angels. A jet black curtain separates the confessional from the rest of the Church, offering a surprising degree of privacy to any eavesdroppers nearby. Unlike the rest of Krakow, the inside is dimly lit by a small light bulb securely attached to the ceiling which emits a faint red light. While the atmosphere isn't exactly cozy, it is private.

A smooth voice calls out to you once you've sat down, familiar enough to identify the speaker despite the partition between you.

"Welcome welcome. I take it something is on your mind?"

We're in a museum now, Harry.

He ends up in the confessional after poking around for a bit. But now that he's here and Rembrandt has spoken up—]

[ It's still fairly early in the day on Monday when Rideaux makes his way to... whatever this booth in the church is supposed to be. He's still in the wet priest robes he threw on over his suit to protect it from the rain, though he's only vaguely aware of any irony in wearing them here.

He takes a seat, and crosses his arms... partly because he's always at least mildly impatient and on edge, but mostly because he's fucking cold in these wet clothes now. ]

[As the defending knight, it doesn't take long for this motive to get under his skin - enough for him to hobble all the way to the confessional and even get inside. He's angry. He's tired. He can't believe he already has to see Lelouch again (all crumpled up, but of course he's still carrying it with him. To remind him of vengeance. shut up) ... they're probably just taunting him, but he must at least explore this reasoning.]

[He doesn't sit; opts to stand instead, his intense stare seeming to look through the partition. It's the same displeased stare he gave the man earlier, when they were all gathered for the photo op. So to speak.

[ Mikami hates coming here. He's avoided the church since getting to know it would be Rembrandt's lair, just as he avoided the bookshop and (sadly) its coffee, to not have to be displeased by the Lady's presence.

He hates it no less now that he's inside. The Christian aesthetic is oppressive to him now. He's not sure if that is because he's always had a distaste for the pompous or if his complicated relationship to the word 'God' at present time has something to do with it. That's thoughts he will shelf, forever.

It also reminds him of Demegawa's idiotic Kira temple, and that is a dislike he can let himself dwell on. Safe and simple.

[ Sliding back into the confessional booth the following week... Look, he's dry this time. ]

[She takes off the half-mask, like she's already expecting the weird tingle in her eye. It's a real unpleasant sensation -- sometimes she regrets getting that seal on her eye]

Everything is going rather smoothly, which is why I have free time nowadays. Since I have nothing better to do, I have decided to talk to you. Tell me, after our work relationship is over and you eat my soul, what do you plan to do? Do you have any big plans for your future?

[She's talking rather flippantly about having her soul eaten. Since she believes she can give Rembrandt his due payment and continue her continental reign of terror even after that, she's treating the loss of her soul as a minor inconvenience. As if things were really that simple -- her hubris makes her think she's clever enough for that]

He figures Rembrandt is very aware of all of them examining everything they possibly can, but it feels a little weird to do that when he's right over there, so you know what. Fine. He'll just go talk to Rembrandt. He probably should anyway, since it's been awhile.]

Rembrandt. I wasn't expecting to find you here.
