The confessional before you is ornate and well maintained, ebony colored wood embellished with the visage of two angels. A jet black curtain separates the confessional from the rest of the Church, offering a surprising degree of privacy to any eavesdroppers nearby. Unlike the rest of Krakow, the inside is dimly lit by a small light bulb securely attached to the ceiling which emits a faint red light. While the atmosphere isn't exactly cozy, it is private.
A smooth voice calls out to you once you've sat down, familiar enough to identify the speaker despite the partition between you.
"Welcome welcome. I take it something is on your mind?"We're in a museum now, Harry.

[That satisfies his curiosity about that; it was an idea he discussed earlier, and that seems to be confirmation of it, at least.]
Ah, right - do you have a question in return for me?
no subject
[ A sigh. ]
What was the general consensus in regards to Ango? [ Tonight is the time for business, it seems. ]
no subject
Ango explained what he spoke to the Lady about, and everyone seems to be in agreement that it isn't Ango's fault. I can't tell you how he's handling it personally, since I don't know him nearly well enough to judge. As it stands, I doubt anyone would consider him a threat or liability after that.
[As always, it's straightforward, with no hesitation.]
These powers we were given... Did either of you choose which powers to give us?
[He's mostly curious about his own since it is similar to what he can do back home, but Pizza's is pretty mean too, so was that just random, or do you guys have a really mean sense of humor...]
no subject
Not terribly surprising, even if he was responsible for giving her the idea in the first place.
There wasn't any selection involved in the slightest. But it does not surprise me that several of you received powers that were complimentary to ones you already had.
[ His sense of humor is terrible, though no doubt about that. ]
Since we are on the subject: I take it that there is more open discussion of your powers between the group this week?
no subject
Not as much as you might think, actually. Four were brought up during the trial, though one of those was the murderer's. Aside from that, I haven't heard anyone mention their specific power in public; I assume many of us are cautious of sharing what it could be in case we decide that killing will be necessary.
[Of course, that is just speculation, but that makes the most sense to him!!]
I'm also very curious about the people that must have populated this city at some point. What happened to them?
no subject
That one, I shall leave up to your imagination. Idle chatter and gossip are fine, but I'd like to refrain from speaking on anything that would be more troublesome for me than not. Particularly after today.

May I ask you about it again later?
[Is this something Rembrandt can't or won't talk about right now, or is it just Off Limits...]

I do have one final question for you tonight, however... The abilities we had back in our homes, are those forever lost to us? If we were to return home, would we regain access to those abilities, or did the process of giving us these new powers simply remove them entirely?
[He doesn't like the question, from the sound of it, but he wants to know— No, he needs to know.]

[ Tap, tap, tap goes a finger against wood. ]
That, would be up to each and every one of you. If you are...resilient enough, I imagine they will return once you are no longer here.
no subject
I see. I must admit I am very curious about that, but I suppose such questions are best saved for later.
[There's certainly no guarantee any of them will be going home, after all.]
Thank you for your time this evening, Rembrandt. I appreciate the answers you've given me.
[...]
But before I go, I did ask you one more question than you asked me. Do you have anything else to ask tonight?
no subject
My, I really must be tired—it's been quite some time since I've had to run around putting out so many fires caused by idiots. But no, I do not. While I much prefer to deal in transactions, I am not unacquainted with generosity. [ This one's on the house. ]
no subject
You have my thanks, then. I appreciate your generosity.
[It's not sarcastic!]
I'll take my leave then. Once again, you have my thanks.
[There's certainly plenty to think about, even if today's meeting was rather short.]
