The confessional before you is ornate and well maintained, ebony colored wood embellished with the visage of two angels. A jet black curtain separates the confessional from the rest of the Church, offering a surprising degree of privacy to any eavesdroppers nearby. Unlike the rest of Krakow, the inside is dimly lit by a small light bulb securely attached to the ceiling which emits a faint red light. While the atmosphere isn't exactly cozy, it is private.
A smooth voice calls out to you once you've sat down, familiar enough to identify the speaker despite the partition between you.
"Welcome welcome. I take it something is on your mind?"We're in a museum now, Harry.

[ He hums. ]
Yes. Consider her help...accelerating the process.

I appreciate it, Rembrandt.
[Rembrandt's likely aware of just how much.]
What question do you have for me in return?
no subject
no subject
[He's absolutely smirking.]
I could offer you Dazai's reasoning and the group's reactions to him, if that would suffice.
[WAY TO VIOLENTLY FLING DAZAI UNDER THE BUS]

[ A beat. ]
How many questions would it take to receive that information?
no subject
no subject
And to be clear, I couldn't offer you that. [ At least he's honest? ] But I could offer you information if it was kept between us, as it would be troublesome for us both if the Lady was to catch wind of it.
no subject
[It's very interesting. Information that the Lady wouldn't like Rembrandt to spread... Ooh, that's almost too tempting.]
I'll consider it further, but for now I'll have to decline. I can certainly understand why you can't interfere, but I'm not willing to take risks that could end in my death.
[And selling out the whole group for information could easily end in death, so! Unfortunately, caution wins out.]

[ Iago does love himself confirmed. ]
no subject
Oh, everyone is irritated with him. I doubt there's a single one of us who finds his actions acceptable. As you saw, no one was willing to speak of anything important with you there, and none of us expected you to show up either. It seems Rean was surprised as well, and he's often in charge of preparing food for these gatherings, if not arranging them himself.
Despite his many faults, Dazai is a capable man and isn't nearly as stupid as he pretends he is. I was a bit surprised to see how foolish he was today. I doubt many people will trust him after this.

[ ??????? at Dazai continues. ]
Your next question?
no subject
As for my next question... I understand if you can't answer this one, but how long do you imagine you'll be working with the Lady? Is this an arrangement that you expect to be over with fairly soon?
no subject
I don't foresee it being a long term assignment.
no subject
[can't relate!!!]
Your next question?
no subject
Let's see... perhaps this borders too much on my original ask, but I will pose it to you regardless. Did Dazai breach the subject of fossils with you?
no subject
He did, yes. He mentioned something about a display case that he broke into, and he has a theory that the fossils are important somehow. I'm still not sure what to make of it, really.
[He is also now the proud owner of one (1) fossil, but he left it back in his room because it's not like he's carrying that thing around??]
no subject
I know where he got that idea from him. [ And because he's just like this, he's whistling. ]
no subject
Well, it sounds like that's going to be very interesting.
[you guys have fun, hopefully dazai doesn't get himself killed????]
I suppose it's my turn now, isn't it...? Are you from a different world as well, Rembrandt?
no subject
[ Hopefully! There's a pause before he answers. ]
I am, in many ways.
no subject
[But that's going to require another question, isn't it.]
Well, go ahead, your turn.
no subject
Is there a reason you didn't eat at the meeting?
no subject
[so you know, paranoia, nbd.]
What can you tell me about the world you come from?
no subject
[ Why is Rem like this. ]
I don't mind answering, but that question is very broad. Do you have anything specific in mind?
no subject
I'm curious about the level of technology and if it's comparable to any of the worlds we're familiar with - or even this one.
no subject
Time is a curious thing. My world... is far less advanced than this one, but I imagine that is because this place is a couple hundred years ahead. I will concede that science is fascinating, most of the ills and problems in my world were made out to be due to magic or superstitions, when the actual cause was scientific in nature.
