The confessional before you is ornate and well maintained, ebony colored wood embellished with the visage of two angels. A jet black curtain separates the confessional from the rest of the Church, offering a surprising degree of privacy to any eavesdroppers nearby. Unlike the rest of Krakow, the inside is dimly lit by a small light bulb securely attached to the ceiling which emits a faint red light. While the atmosphere isn't exactly cozy, it is private.
A smooth voice calls out to you once you've sat down, familiar enough to identify the speaker despite the partition between you.
"Welcome welcome. I take it something is on your mind?"We're in a museum now, Harry.

[ Hopefully! There's a pause before he answers. ]
I am, in many ways.
no subject
[But that's going to require another question, isn't it.]
Well, go ahead, your turn.
no subject
Is there a reason you didn't eat at the meeting?
no subject
[so you know, paranoia, nbd.]
What can you tell me about the world you come from?
no subject
[ Why is Rem like this. ]
I don't mind answering, but that question is very broad. Do you have anything specific in mind?
no subject
I'm curious about the level of technology and if it's comparable to any of the worlds we're familiar with - or even this one.
no subject
Time is a curious thing. My world... is far less advanced than this one, but I imagine that is because this place is a couple hundred years ahead. I will concede that science is fascinating, most of the ills and problems in my world were made out to be due to magic or superstitions, when the actual cause was scientific in nature.

[alternate worlds and technology are wild, it's great!!]

[ He hasn't asked a question back yet, but has he noticed it himself, hm. ]
no subject
[Something more to research, then...
He's not stupid enough to think that Rembrandt's completely missed that it's his turn for a question, but he can push the boundaries just a tiny bit today, perhaps.]
Do you like it here?
no subject
[ Unclear if he sounds approving or not. ]
I find this place more interesting than most, the rules that govern it are... peculiar. But it doesn't matter much to me where I am, I've traveled to many places far and wide.
..my turn now. Do you think someone will take the hint this week? [ He doesn't need to say that he assumes one of you will go knives out for this incentive. ]
no subject
An answer to that question though... Hmm. Thanks, Rembrandt.]
I believe it depends on exactly what happens. It's a bit hard to guess given how unpredictable those trials can be, but it seems likely that it will be necessary and someone will volunteer to take it. We've seen what it has done to Seteth, but now that we know, there may be others who are willing to sacrifice themselves for the hint.
It does also depend on who dies, however. I have a hard time seeing them willing to take the hint if it's someone they don't like or consider a threat. Many of them are self-sacrificial, but I can't see most of them pursuing "justice" for the killer if they've removed someone that could pose a threat or is otherwise a pain.
...Teru Mikami excluded, of course.

[ The dice are biased. ]
no subject
I've been curious about that as well. I suspect many of us have no real interest in determining the correct killer and would use the trials as a way to remove those who aren't beneficial to us or are otherwise deemed a threat.
Though that would be more trouble than it's worth.
[Anyway...]
It seems as though you're capable of traveling to our worlds, so I'm curious... Do you know the current state of things in all of them at the moment?
no subject
[ Like if Mikami or Reans bites it, how Wild West are we going? There's a beat before he responds. ]
As I said before, time is strange. Even within worlds, it's possible for the flow of time to be different. So as to that question, I can't give you a proper answer. You may ask another question if you like.
no subject
Is the Lady capable of traveling to other worlds, or is that a power only you possess?
no subject
[ The jetlag is probably real bad. ]
no subject
Really? I see.
[Huh...]
Your turn. What can I answer for you?
no subject
no subject
[Like. A lot. Iago is a huge goddamn nerd, so of course......]
It is getting rather late, so I'll take my leave soon. For my last question... The Lady's reaction to discussing magic was very strange, did she use it at one point?
no subject
[ And pleased isn't the only emotion he's feeling, considering he just laughs. ]
Yes, yes she did. I'll save you the follow up question and just tell you now that it had to do with me.
no subject
How generous of you; I appreciate it.
[More stuff to think about!! Someday he's gonna get this backstory!!!!!!!]
Two questions in return, then.
no subject
No, no, the second answer was on the house. For my final question though: who would you target? If you were killing someone today.
no subject
[That isn't really a question Iago needs to think too much about, but he considers it for a moment anyway.]
As you're undoubtedly already aware, my physical strength is rather lacking, so my choice in targets is severely limited. I don't stand much of a chance of overpowering anyone, should it turn to a fight. So with that said... Shin or Yuzuru would be my preferred choices, although I don't know nearly enough about either of them to be certain any plans I'd make would work as effectively as I'd hope.
[They aren't the only options, but they're the ones he's willing to give.]
It sounds as though you already know I won't be killing anyone tonight, however.
no subject
[ A light hum at the answer. ]
It's not as though I have prophetic vision or any of the sort, but I trust you not to make an impulsive decision given our talks thus far. There are more fighters left than not, I believe. And even those who aren't possess other feats. [ Like Mikami's bench pressing. ]
