The confessional before you is ornate and well maintained, ebony colored wood embellished with the visage of two angels. A jet black curtain separates the confessional from the rest of the Church, offering a surprising degree of privacy to any eavesdroppers nearby. Unlike the rest of Krakow, the inside is dimly lit by a small light bulb securely attached to the ceiling which emits a faint red light. While the atmosphere isn't exactly cozy, it is private.

A smooth voice calls out to you once you've sat down, familiar enough to identify the speaker despite the partition between you.

"Welcome welcome. I take it something is on your mind?"

Ah, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. I've seen both high society and the underbelly, and while I prefer the former, spending all my time there would be incredibly boring.

At the same time, it doesn't feel fair when with a wave their hand and the flash of some lights someone can magically tell you what your deepest, darkest desires are. Especially when you can't do the same for them.

And this context... actually, this is pretty funny. No, wait, this is really funny. It takes a second, but Erik starts laughing—or maybe it's closer to giggling—before turning his head and laughing into his hand. He waves his hand at Rembrandt as if to say "wait, stop."

[ Rembrandt seems taken in a different way, with not so muted surprise as Erik laughs. He shakes his head from side to side with a smile. ]

I couldn't help myself either. [ Needs to be said, even if its obvious. ]

She desires power of course, that's why she hired me. That in itself is boring, but the methods and deeds she has committed herself to in doing so is anything but. It takes a certain type of individual to distort themselves until they're hardly recognizable even to themselves, yet never lose track of their goal regardless.

I find it interesting, even if it does leave some things to be desired.

[ Super obvious. Rembrandt's itching to gossip about the Lady and oh does it ever show! No matter how polite or coy he's being, he's still leaving this obvious trail of breadcrumbs in the hopes someone will follow them. Well that's just it, isn't it? Strange how someone who desires power would so freely give it to others, and I think it's fair to say she's not exactly the charitable type.
